Alexander Jüngling advises companies on issues of corporate governance, ethical corporate management, compliance and manager/board liability with a focus on anti-corruption, healthcare compliance, data protection, antitrust law, money laundering and export control. He is an expert on legal and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence.
Through his many years of experience as a consultant in a leading international management consultancy, then in a US commercial law firm and finally as Chief Compliance Officer and Data Privacy Officer in two international corporations, Alexander has extensive experience in advising board members and in the design and implementation of internal risk analyses, regulations, organizations and processes (including supporting IT systems). He has extensive knowledge in internal and external national and international investigations of all sizes and problems as well as in representing companies before authorities.
After studying music and law in Freiburg i.Br. (doctorate) and Chicago (LL.M.), Alexander began his career as a management consultant and business lawyer focusing on antitrust law, compliance and IP. After around ten years as a consultant, he set up compliance programs for two international groups in the engineering and consumer goods/health sector, respectively, and is thus very familiar with the practical aspects of the implementation of compliance programs in various industries.
As Chief Compliance Officer of a company during two US monitorships, Alexander also has expert knowledge in this area.
Alexander is active in various Chief Compliance Officer forums, was deputy head of the Compliance Section of the Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen e.V. (Federal Association of Corporate Lawyers, BUJ) and is a founding member of the German Institute for Compliance. (DICO). He is a lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin, a sought-after speaker and regularly publishes articles on compliance topics.
